He will also give you a sell stock quote which means the price at which he is willing to sell securities to you. Stock quote are your guide to make an assessment whether to enter securities at that point of time or not. A higher stock quote may mean that the price of the security is a bit expensive and may not have much appreciation left in it. On the other hand, a lower stock quote means that still there is a potential to make money out of the market. But always believe that higher and lower are relative in capital markets and do not have any independent existence.
